Was it as good for you as it was for me?

And I'm talking about the last 3 days of leaving the WOD a  mystery. How did that make you feel when you didn't know what you were in for? Attendance numbers haven't been significantly down this week as compared to others, so maybe I think ya'll kinda liked it...hmm...

Anyway, continuing with the week's habit of keeping an unknown element to your class, I will not be posting the WOD again, but I will give you some ideas of what you're getting into.

*If you have a number in your notebook for your most recent 1 rep max or successful heavy clean and jerk, make sure you know it coming into class. It could be from the WOD on 6/23 or any other recent clean and jerk skill sessions. If you know one, but not the other, that's okay we'll work with it. If you don't know either, that's okay too, a coach will be there to guide you, as usual.

 *Watch this video please. Notice that the POWER CLEAN is received in a partial squat, not with stiff legs. I'm making you watch this because you NEED to dip under the bar to receive it, even with a power clean. When we avoid any kind of squat at all, the back becomes compromised and low back injuries can become more frequent. So, for the work today your coach will be urging you to choose a weight where you are comfortable receiving it in a partial squat. So, even if that means you don't use the RX weight, safety always comes before intensity.

 Oh and thank you for testing out the jumpropes from www.mutesportsequipment.com. Hopefully some of you got a rope where you'll be able to crank away at those REAL soon! ;-)
