"I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more."
-Steve Prefontaine

I switched it up a little today by putting the motivation quote BEFORE you know what the WOD is.  I did this because when I read the WOD for today, this is the first thing that I thought of.  It's one of those WODs what doesn't necessarily measure strength, skill, or even endurance.  It measure guts.  I know this isn't one of the 10 domains of fitness that we usually base workouts around, but if it was up to me it would be! How measurable is it exactly? Probably not at all, I guess that's something I'd have to figure out before I go about changing the whole foundation of measurable fitness...

Anyway, today's WOD doesn't require technical movements or heavy weights, it only requires GUTS.  Do you have what it takes to keep moving? To break out of your comfort zone? To do one more rep?  Let's find out!

WOD:

8 Minute AMRAP:

1K Row

max reps wall balls in remaining time

5 minute rest

8 Minute AMRAP:

40 KBSwing (70/53)

Max Reps Burpees in remaining time

A word to the wise - take your time with the kb swings. Or you end up doing burpees for 5 minutes.
