Like most of the girl named workouts, Diane captures the essence of CrossFit. It involves a moderately heavy lift with a taxing gymnastics skill. To do well here, you will need to be a well rounded athlete. The time cap today is in full effect to keep your intensity high. Both deadlifts and hspu can get extremely taxing to the point of dead stop failure if they are too heavy or too challenging. Once the failure sets in, you miss the point of the workout- to achieve a high intensity stimulus. So, break up your sets as needed and try to move through quickly.
Scaling options for hspu today will include full range of motion overhead pressing.
