Mobility.
Some of you love mobility, some of you hate it, but you can't deny that you do not feel a little better after you are done with it. Simply put, it makes you feel amazing. If you increase your mobility you will feel better, move better and be able to perform movements with greater ease. Imagine being able to do a squat jerk like Kendrick Farris. Not only is he immensely strong, he also has phenomenal mobility.
Being able to perform a clean grip squat jerk is actually one of my goals, I honestly think that they are a very sexy looking movement. If anybody is seriously interested in learning new ways to increase their mobility should consider showing up to our Mobility Clinic next Thursday night. Over the course of an hour and a half we will be giving you guys the tools that you need so that you can help improve your mobility game. We will be doing lots of new stretches and variations as well as perfecting the way that we do some of our more common ones.
At the end of the Clinic we will be doing something that will be very new for us here at 7VCF. It is a variation of yoga that also combines postures from Kung Fu and Taoist Yin. Kung Fu? Really? Yup. I have been performing this type of passive stretching for only a short time and I honestly feel much, much better. You will hold natural positions and allow gravity to open you up. There is no work done on your part, the idea is to get into the mindset that you are about to fall asleep. It is great!
Todays WOD is a repeat from January 2nd, 2015. Make sure you look it up!
