So the cat's out of the bag...what do we think?! I'm sure everyone has mixed feelings, so sound off in the comments!
Now that we KNOW the WOD the next thing is to DESTROY the WOD. Tonight, from 5pm until 8pm, athletes who are signed up for the open will be competing together in 15.1. There are no pre-set heats, heats of athletes will start together when they are ready. Warm up will not be structured, so make sure you are warming up properly and completely before beginning this workout. If you're not sure what a good warm up would be, ask a coach!
A lot of you might be nervous, and that is OK. Actually, it's more than OK. I'll never forget when my high school coach told me that being nervous before a competition is actually a great sign; it means that you're expecting pain. And if you're expecting pain, then that means you are prepared to push yourself passed your comfort zone, and you understand what needs to be done. So don't let the nerves get to you, think of them as a competitive edge!
And if you're still not confident when the time comes, call on your team members. There's already been some inter-team trash talk going on, which I take as a sign of team unity and pride! Your team members are there for you for support, and they'll be there after with you to celebrate...
Speaking of, our very own Steve Bradley is playing awesome music at Hairy Tony's tonight at 9pm. Trust me, he's good. And I'm not just saying that because he does the dishes.
10 Deadlift (115/75)
5 Snatches (115/75)
1RM Clean and Jerk
**ATTENTION OPEN ATHLETES: Mike will be at the box at 4pm for anyone who wants to come a little earlier to warm up**
