Throw back Thursday...
To this time last summer when our members were crushing WODs at BACONFIT BOOTCAMP!
Back when pull-ups were done on monkey bars and the only equipment available were some old tires, a few dumbbells and some "borrowed" cinder blocks.
With limited equipment, the amazing creative minds of Mike and Dana were able to design some killer workouts. Quick thanks to you, all of our members, for helping to get us from the playground to the box!
Now down to business. One of the movements that we encounter today will be the dead lift. Don't let this movement's simplicity fool you! Even though it is not as technical as the other lifts, it is just as, if not more, important to master. This is because the dead lift is a prerequisite to any of our other lifts. It is a key component in both the snatch and the clean. Improving your dead lift will in turn improve your other lifts. It makes you stronger from head to toe, strengthens your back and prevents injuries, and most importantly, it is FUNCTIONAL. Nothing translates to real-life quite like the dead lift does. It is the most efficient and safest way to lift anything off the ground.

To end "Throw back Thursday" here's on of my all-time favorite CrossFit videos. If you have not seen this yet, I suggest you watch all the way through. I haven't seen another video that captures the essence of CrossFit quite like this does.
