So, what about those teens? And how about those masters?! I hope all of you have gotten a chance to watch at least a little of these two categories at the CrossFit games.  I know I have! And it's sad that I found myself thinking, while watching the 55-59 age group, "damn, I wish I had abs like that".  But that's how amazing these athletes are.  

 

These two categories are streaming live at games.crossfit.com.  And of course, the community is at full swing, even among the youngsters.

 

 

We love to see that!

 

Also today the individual competition begins!!  The workouts for today have now been announced, and keeping with recent tradition, they start at the beach. Dun dun dunnnnn.....

Here are the workout announcements for today!


The first workout involves paddling through the ocean. If you check out the CrossFit Games instagram, you'll see it plastered with videos of some of the athletes we all know and love practicing moving on their new paddle boards; most for the first time ever!  Talk about being prepared for the unknown and unknowable.

 

The second workout is a throwback from 2010, and involves moving sandbags from one end of the stadium to the next.  Partly with just the athletes' own bodies, partly with wheel barrows.  Talk about functional movements! It's going to be a good one!!
