So, here’s the deal. I LOVE food. I love eating and my favorite time of the day is LUNCH when I get to eat that delicious prepared meal I’ve made on Sunday, food prep day. When I pack my lunch pail daily, all I can think about is the lunch that’s waiting for me…usually I can’t even wait until lunch time, but rather I eat it at about 10am when the kids go to PE.
I’d like to share a recipe I used this Sunday (and the one before that) to prepare Tilapia. Normally, seafood is the last thing I choose to buy because I always overcook it and it turns out dry. But, a few weeks ago some local grocery store was having a “buy one get one free” deal on frozen tilapia. The tilapia came in filets and there were about 6 in a package. So, I bought them and then tossed them in the freezer. When I finally decided to be brave enough to prepare them, here’s what I did. It came out so delicious. I will make this part of my weekly prep for a while now, at least until I get sick of it…
1. On the stove-top, I put some butter (I don’t know, lots probably) in a pan and let it melt over low heat.
2. While it melted, I stirred in some fresh dill, paprika, salt, pepper and some garlic powder. Fresh garlic probably would have been better, but I didn’t have any. Also, I’m not too much of a fan of measuring things, so I couldn’t tell you the amounts. Some recipe, eh?
3. Then, once it was all mixed and melted in the pan I poured it over the top of the thawed filets that I lay single layer in a baking dish.
4. Then, I baked it uncovered for 20-25 minutes. And that was it!
So, if you’re like me, and don’t have a ton of patience or creativity in the kitchen, try this one out. They came out super tasty. #Gainz #Protein #Bulkingseason
