You should think of your buns as your new super power. Really, they'll help you with these things:
1. They'll get you up out of the bottom of your squat. Once you go past parallel, your buns and hamstrings are doing the work to lift you up.
2. They'll give you better triple extension in your lifts. The more powerful your glutes are the more speed you'll have getting extended through the middle for your explosive lifts, like the snatch and clean.
3. They'll keep your torso straight. Weak glutes can result in a pelvic tilt which will put strain on your lower back/spine, and make you look like your abdomen is sticking out when it really shouldn't be. This will make gymnastics movements much more challenging than they already are (because you have to keep your butt and belly tight throughout handstands, pullups, etc).
