So rumor has it spring is coming soon...

 

The weather outside today sure does NOT lead us to believe that.  It looks like winter is giving it's final push towards the finish.  It's not going down without a fight! (or so we HOPE it's the last push!)

  

So if you're thinking about hibernating today, think again!  Today's WOD doesn't look like much, but it's something you don't wanna miss!  This is the WOD that we used for the paleo challenge as the benchmark before hand and retested after to test improvement.  This workout was designed to test pure output.  What does this mean? It means that it is a met-con (metabolic conditioning) style workout without any high-skill areas or barbells.  Yes, there is some heavy weighted kettlebell swings and higher box jumps, but these are  movements where (when scaled appropriately) not having a certain skill set won't slow you down.  Basically, it's a simple WOD, but it ain't easy!

 

WOD:

8 minute AMRAP:

5 burpees

10 kettle bell swings (70/53)

15 box jumps (30/24)

  

POST WOD SKILL:

fun handstand stuff!
