THE PROOF IS IN THE...NUMBERS!
The school year is winding down, but that doesn't mean the Math Teacher in me takes a break. Apparently, I'm a good record keeper, some may call it hoarding unnecessary documents, but I knew I was saving them for the right time, which was right now. Here are some fun stats from our PR Challenge last summer.
Last year there was a choice of either "Helen" or "Nicole" to improve on in 6 weeks.
Jared G- 30% improvement in his fitness. He shaved off more than 5 minutes in 6 weeks. Whoa.
Irish- 18.7% improvement in his fitness. He knocked off close to 5 minutes in his time.
Beau H. 18.6 % improvement in his fitness.
Kyle D. 14.6% improvement- His Helen time was 8:56 last August.
Jen S. 14.4%
Daniel R. 14.1%
Tierney O. 14%
Steve S. 13.6%
Travis M. 13.5%
Julie C 9.5%
Mike M. 9.3%
Su S. 8.9%
Lisa W. 8.1%
Chad M., Amy S. Jill R, and Courtney M also all improved their fitness in 6 weeks all by over 4%.
Apparently, I don't have as good of record keeping skills for "Nicole", but I do know that Michelle S, John L, and Garrett C all sat at the top of the podium for their drastic improvements with this brutal (maybe more brutal than Fran) WOD.
We focused on running and pullups last summer. This summer we're hitting pullups again (because why not) and building a faster thruster through strengthening our squat and building our engines.
There are cash prizes involved and sweet t-shirts for participating.
