Happy Birthday Seven Valley CrossFit!!

I know I'm a little early, but I can't contain my excitement! This Friday, the 21st, is the official one year anniversary of our little box.  To celebrate, Saturday is the Jackie Who? competition and party for members and family/friends.  It's the social event of the season, don't miss out!

And, as promised, here is one of your fellow members' testimonies on "What CrossFit has done for me".  We had so many submissions that I'll be posting two a day this week!

"The biggest thing I've noticed since joining the 7VCF family? That's it right there. Family. Since becoming a member of Seven Valley CrossFit in April, I have been pushed to the brink of exhaustion, encouraged to try new things, and welcomed into an awesome group of people. Everyday when I walk in to the box I know that i'm going to get some high fives from some great people at the end of a brutal workout. I may not be the fastest and I'm certainly not the strongest, but that doesn't matter at 7VCF. We're all in this together; to get faster and stronger as a family."

"Since starting Crossfit over a year ago, my life has completely changed. It sounds like an exaggeration, but it's really true. In the past year, I have left an unhealthy relationship, lost 40 pounds, completed a triathlon, learned how strong I really was, and become so much happier. And it all started with Crossfit. I was never an athlete and I was not used to pushing myself. I had very little self-confidence and did not think I was capable of doing anything like what I saw Crossfitters doing. But one day, I was fed up and feeling brave, so I signed up. Every time I went to Crossfit, I proved myself wrong. That little voice in my head telling me I couldn't do something, that I wasn't strong enough, that I wasn't good enough - it got quieter and quieter. There is something very powerful in doing things that you think you can't do. And that's why I love Crossfit. With every class, I am getting stronger and more fit, but I'm also building myself up. I've become the best version of myself because of Crossfit."

All of the submissions are amazing, and reading them is giving me the chills! Stay tuned all week for more.
