TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

That's right! For those of you that don't know, our "annual" Summer PR Challenge is almost upon us. This year you have the choice between two great WODs. Helen or Nichole. Both involve running, both involve pull ups and both of them will be challenging and rewarding. Lucky for all of you, Coach Dana and myself sat down recently to talk about the programming. We will be utilizing a program that is based around various pulling exercises, grip strength training and technique that focuses on pull ups. Who doesn't want to get better at pull ups? Besides, like all of our competitions participants will get T-shirts, winners will receive prizes and there will be a party for everyone at the end of it! Ok, even if you won't admit that you want to get better at pull ups, everybody likes to party right? The winners will be chosen based on how much their scores improve over the course of the summer. It doesn't matter what your score is, as long as you improve your score!

Today at the box we have another spicy little couplet for you guys and even though it doesn't include Toes to Bar we will be practicing them for our skill session. If you have a few extra minutes please try to watch this video tonight. This is the video that I watched time and time again when I first started CrossFit. I know that everyone is always paying attention when I am demonstrating T2B during class and sometimes I can even here people saying, "wow, he makes that look so easy." First of all, try to refrain from comments like that. My head is already inflated enough. Most of you know this already. Second of all, if you watch me after I am done demo-ing, I am usually off in the corner sucking wind and getting ready to coach again. The reason that I love T2B is because I put in the work on them and now I am moderately good at them. Actually I am barely even adequate. I still have work to do. There is always something that we can do to improve our technique. Give it a look.

Like I said, today in the WOD we will not be doing T2B but we will be improving our core strength by doing sit ups and KB swings. Show up ready to work.

8min AMRAP

30 Abmat Sit Ups

10 Russian KB Swings (70/53)
