YOU DON'T KNOW SQUAT!
Ok now that I have your attention, onto todays post...
We actually do believe that you know squat, as well as how to squat. Just in case you forgot, we will be doing a heavy dose of them today! I can not emphasize enough on the importance of squatting properly and how it can and is used in everyday life. It is one of our foundational movements and it is something that we (as humans) will continue to do on a daily basis for years and years.
One of the best (and easiest) ways to improve your squat is to work that mobility son! Pay attention during the hip/groin mobility today as many of these things can be done at home. It only takes a minute or 2. Good hip mobility is critical for achieving full depth and not only that but it is extremely useful in day to day life. I thoroughly enjoy doing the "27 squats" routine and I do it on a daily basis. You can find a quick video reminder for it here. He points it out in the video but I just want to re-emphasize that this is something that we will NEVER do with weight. Always respect the proper squat mechanics and concentrate on driving those knees out and pushing your hips back.
Now about todays WOD...
No S2OH is not a chemistry term or math problem. It is an easier way to say, "shoulder to overhead." What does this mean exactly? I know that most of you have been coming for several months now and you should all be familiar with the three ways that we know how to get a weight from our shoulders to an overhead position. Be sure to comment below and tell us what the 3 ways are and possible advantages/disadvantages for choosing them in todays WOD.
