**Don't forget about tomorrow's Fun Friday with Friends!!  If you haven't had the chance to sign up your guest on the sheet by the whiteboard, get a hold of Mike or Dana.  It's not too late to bring a friend to experience 7VCF!**

Now it's time for THROWBACK THURSDAY!  Throwing it back to that time when Jack Lalanne, fitness and nutrition expert, tried to tell us about the dangers of sugar way before things like the "Paleo" diet and sugar "detoxes" were a thing.  He knew it, and unfortunately for my lunch box as a child, my Grandpa knew it. (Although of course I'm thanking him now for all the lectures.)  Click here to watch the video.

Jack Lalanne (the man who lived till 96, and at the age of 70 swam while towing 70 boats, with 70 people, a mile and a half through a harbor while handcuffed) was trying to tell us something extremely important here, but why has it taken so long for people to listen? And why is it still SO hard to get most people to listen even now?  BECAUSE WE'RE ADDICTED.  Sugar acts on the same neurotransmitters in your brain that cocaine does, and some experts say that it can be even more addicting.  Scary, huh?  So if you feel like you need a major change in your diet, take on the challenge that he throws out in the video and give up  refined sugar for 5 days.  If you're feeling even more determined, try the 30 day Paleo challenge or the 21 day detox.  If you have any questions with nutrition, remember that you can always ask a coach!

Next Games event?  If only he was around for CrossFit!

I love my Jack Lalanne juicer... it's the best way to get all the nutrients from those greens and other raw veggies. Aside from cooking them in bacon of course...
