Community Supported Agriculture. 

 

For those of you that don't know, we have a member who works for Cortlands CSA with Main Street Farms. By now most of you have met the guy, it's Bob Cat! He also happens to be our only member that has been to every single class time that we offer! If you remember halloween last year he was the one that dressed up like a carrot and he was able to use his crazy dreadlocks as part of the costume. Pretty fitting right? 

 

Well, on Monday May 4th he will be at the box to answer any and all questions that you guys have about the CSA. Try to hang around and listen to what he has to say! It is a great deal and you guys know that we are all about supporting a local business. What is better than getting a box of fresh veggies every week?! There is also talk of us participating in a "group WOD" with them later on in the year and we will have the chance to go down to their farm and help them pick some potatoes! I know that I would be down for something like that. 

 

Next time you are at the box, take a look at the poster that we hung up right next to the whiteboard that you record your scores on. This is what it looks like:

 

  

If you have any extra time today, pop on over to their website at mainstreetfarms.com and check out what they have going on there. There is some pretty cool stuff there!

 

I know that the weather has been getting better and everybody is going to start doing a lot more outdoor activities so I figured that it was time for me to make a Public Service Announcement. YOLO. You Only Live Once. As cheesy as it sounds we should heed these words and make sure that we are careful during the summer months.
