What a day it was yesterday! Thank you for being so able to adjust to a new WOD in a new setting. Luckily the weather was beautiful! It just goes to show that not everything always goes the way you plan. CrossFit is all about adapting to the unknown and unknowable, and our building was just trying to remind us of that.
Speaking of, in this "Sub 3-minute" session, Camille Leblanc-Bazinet talks about how to deal when things don't go your way during a workout. She highlights some of the most important aspects of good training; a good support group, attacking weaknesses, and mental toughness. Camille talks about what she's been doing to toughen up mentally and avoid break-downs during workouts. I'm sure a lot of you can relate to this. I know there's been more times that I care to admit that I've been on the verge of tears of frustration during work outs. But like she says, "Sometimes you get overwhelmed with what's happening around you, so I really learned to do my workout more like myself against myself". It's so easy to get caught up in comparing yourself to other people. Remember that everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses and grows at their own pace. What's important is your own personal goals and achievements, and being able to look back on a work out knowing that you gave it your all.

Just some of the morning peeps hanging out after the impromptu outside WOD...even got to try out the rower!
Today's WOD:
5 minute AMRAP:
50 Double unders
10 Front squats (135/95)
5 Pull-ups
2 minute rest*
Repeat 5 minute AMRAP
"It's very hard in the beginning to understand that the whole idea is not to beat the other people. Eventually you learn that the competition is against the little voice inside you that wants you to quit."
